Should I also get some snails or keep it all shrimp? I was thinking some kind of nerite snail. I like the tiger one. I would like your opinion on weather or not you guys would flood it or wait for the grass to grow in. This is how it looks currently:

You don't usually see snails in true iwagumis (as far as I have seen), but the zebra nerites would look nice I guess...yeah, if you want them I think they would be cool. I have nerites in my 60g and I love them- best algae eaters from Amano shrimp. I honestly would wait until it all grows in, but if you impatient like me I don't see the harm in flooding it...but it should grow a lot faster DSM. The only reason I don't flood mine yet is because I don't have all the filters, CO2, etc. ready for it yet.

Should I get a music note diffusor or a regular nano diffuser? The tank isnt rimless and Im not going to have any other fancy glassware except a Co2 checker. I think Im going to order the Co2 diffuser, Co2 checker, sponge prefilter, and maybe some more tubing tonight. Should I get anything else?

I didnt order them. I might tonight but what do you guys think? ^^^

Well I just ordered the music note diffuser and sponge prefilter. The filter has been in the 36 gallon for almost 3 weeks now. Quick update pics:

Am I going to have to get shrimp food or will they just eat algae and stuff? If I do what is the best kind to get? I am planning on getting a neo species, I would like blue but the dark blue ones are difficult to find and very expensive and what other shrimp could I keep that dont breed with neos? I would also like to get 1 amano shrimp.

I feed my neos algae waffers they seem to love em, drop em in at night and take out leftovers in the morning. As for other species tiger, bee/crystal are other shrimp that won't interbreed with neos.

Is there a really good brand you recommend?

The sponge prefilter came in today, looks like it will be a tight fit! Too bad the co2 diffuser is not predicted to come here until as late as june 6th!!!

Well today was the day!!! I flooded the tank. I wasnt going to, but I ordered 5 amano shrimp for my 36 gallon but when I got them they were way to small so I had nowhere to put them except for in here. I took the filter from the 36 gallon along with some water and filled it up. Looks pretty good!
