Lighting

HI Everyone, sorry if this has already been covered but I wanted to check what the best lighting is for taking pics. I've been sitting in front of my 60 gal tank for the last couple of afternoons taking soooo many pics and trying all diff lighting and settings on the camera... so far, that one decent pic has been elusive!!

I've tried turning all lights off, and using the flash (freaks the fish out me thinks 8O, plus hard to see when a fish is in the shot lol ) and having all the lights on, with no flash... and everything in between... I would love it if someone could steer me down the right road...

Thanks, I had read some of that earlier...

My tank is FW, lots of smallish fish that (annoyingly) move about pretty quicky... theres quite a few plants and a couple of rocks.

The camera im using is a small digtal sony one (will check tonight what model, still at work at the moment)...
