ok I made a quick vid to show how the automation works my tanks.
I opened a quick app on my ipad and send commands to my tank.
the home automation program i developed also talks to my tanks.
i know when filters are running or not, lights are on or off. etc...

that's amazing. you made the app? if so you should patent it and sell it on the market.

I just wrote the app for my specific application.
I'm a software architect by trade, so its simple enough.

I also have no background.
by keeping the back room dark I give the illusion of depth. looks like the fish just float in darkness.

OK refugium is working and my nitrates are 0
I have not done a water change in 3 weeks, I just add water.

now that proof on concept is done, time to switch out the plumbing to pvc.
this time I think I will spray paint it black so it does not stand out.

This tank is beautiful. I love the rock work around the frame. Seeing this tank has inspired me to get an in-wall aquarium once I own a house.

thanks guys, it was hard work getting it set up but now the tank takes care of itself. almost maintenance free, lol

just have to add water.

I just found a hundred or so snails in the refugium today, have no idea where they came from, probably was on the plants. hopefully they won't cause me a problem. I don't need an army of snails taking over my DT !!!!!
