depending on the software that came with the camera, if you view the pic with that, it usually tells you the settings used...i know nikon does

Yep, depends on the camera and the graphics software. Photoshop accesses this info if the camera has stored it.

thanks salt and rr and hara thanks you are right if i do a right click and go to properties it tells me all kinds of things i don't understand
