Microctenopoma ansorgii

This is the Ornate Ctenopoma (or Ornate Bush Fish), Microctenopoma ansorgii. I've had these for a while but they're small and secretive and tough to get a picture of.

Very nice. I almost never see my three. LFS recently got in a bag of 15, and I was supposed to get 8, but they came in pretty rough, and none made it past the first day....I am hoping for more soon.

In all of my experience with 'Bush Fish', I've found ansorgii to be the most 'tender', especially if they come in as mature fish. I've always had my best success with juveniles. Sorry to hear about the ones your LFS lost. I wonder if Microctenopoma nanum is similarly fragile. I've got a couple of local stores looking for some of those for me.
