How long did it take for your 5 gallon to cycle and how did you do it? I'm getting a 5 gallon I just bought off line that should be here this week so I can add a Betta to my fish family

Nice fish, my little brother has one similar. But his tank is not nearly as good looking as yours. Yours looks awesome!

Michelle: My tank took about 3 weeks to cycle. I did a fish-in cycle though and i didn't like it. Last one i ever did. Smaller tanks IMO take less time to cycle so as long as you have an ammonia source you should be good to go in 3-4 weeks.

I've got cherry shrimp (had ghost before) and my betta doesn't mess with them at all, and there 1/3 as big as ghost lol. It seems u have the proper hiding spaces for shrimp..id get crystals or cherries...

There sketchy. I have a 10 gal betta with a vampire, so far just 3 cherrys, an amano, and hopefully a ninja shrimp opr 2 (my most fav. Species so far!!)

Beautiful Betta tank! Ghost shrimp will make a great addition.

I just got a nerite snail today. All i'm missing is the shrimp. Might get them this weekend.
