I gotta learn more about my camera, but I finally got a photo where I can actually see the scales. Sad they don't tell you the species in the store, but I'm thinking otocinclus vittatus. If anyone can ID it I'd appreciate it.

Very nice Oto. Wish I has success with them
What are those tall plants in the background?

They are doing very well, Ty! They are eating zucchini as well as algae. Their tails have grown back from the wear of capture and shipping, and they have grown. The plants I think you are asking about is bacopa australis. It is an easy, low light stem plant. I'm surprised more people don't grow it. It literally grows like a weed with low tech ferts and liquid carbon (excel).
