Thankyou, got him a girlfriend today, hoping to breed from him :)

Yes, please do not attempt to keep a male and female betta in the same tank. While some people have had success (usually with very very large tanks and many hiding places) the usual result is one or both fish ending up injured or dead.

Do you have extra space and equipment in the event that you are successful and end up with viable fry? They can have quite a lot.

Your betta is quite beautiful! His color is striking!

Oh don't worry guys I have two tanks my male lives alone. I will also have a fry tank too that I'll purchase before I attempt anything. Thanks for the concern and advice.

Fair one dude when I got my first beeta two years ago I made That mistake luckily I managed to give the female back before she killed my male

I'll thoroughly research it before I attempt anything, I'd hate for any of them to get injured, they're both beautiful I've got a lovely white bodied female with a red tail.
