Just set it up for my daffodil brichardis. Got some more rocks from the creek in front of my house to add as well. Suggestions and tips welcome. Id like to make caves higher but worried about them falling any suggestions?

Do you plan to add any plants in the future? If so, may I suggest anubias or javan moss.

take them out, dry them off and put them together using some silicone. then you wont risk them collapsing and possibly injuring the fish. looks good though!! the caves would definitely look good stacked higher

Havent yet decided on plant due the fish im stocking it with. Ive had couple plants with brichardis but im planning on adding more africans as well.

Nice Setup. Curious about the filter

I like your rocks & sand combination.

Just curious about your HOB filter. Whay kind is it? It looks like my aqua-tech but it looks like your filter chambers are "see through" whereas mine are black. Is that "home-made/customized" filter media in there?

Are you going to put a pre-filter on there so sand doesn't get sucked into the intake and damage the impeller?

The filter is an aqueon and no prob wont be doing a prefilter im looking into going with a external canister.
