My NEW Gouramies! - Aquarium Advice

Here are some pics of my new Dwarf Gouramies. I got a Flame male and what I think is a female(normal coloration). If someone could confirm if I've got a female, thatd be great. Both are still skittish, esp. the female, but I managed a few so-so shots.

how is a fish handsome? just a curiosity question cause i never really thought of that just me i only talk about beatiful colors and thas it

If a fish is all torn and scales are missing (aside from being sad) is that not ugly. So why if he looks healthy and happy can't he be handsome?
