Just wanted to post that so that others don't think it's an "Always works out" kind of thing. Case in point, I just tried to breed 2 very nice pairs of Bettas. ( Brothers to Sisters) Both females wound up beating the crap out of and killing their males. Today's females can be very aggressive so you have to go in with knowing that it may not work out.
I also did a third pair and there was only a minor rip in the female and no damage to the male. You just don't know what's going to happen with these fish.
