my substrate is blasting sand from the local building market, i think it was called quartz silicate 0.4-0.8mm

I like how there is not much to take away from the fish in your cichlid tank very simple and great lines. The fish are beautiful as well!

Are those Hamburg filters on the 3 tanks stacked?

wow those look sweet. Love the cichlid tank. I went to that site expecting it to be another "shipping to the lower 48 states only" or 100's of dollars to ship across the border.. and what do ya know its canadian not exactly on my side of the country but still.. I definatly plan on supporting them now that I want and cichlid tank too.. and even some of the live stock they have when its in season looks great! thanks for the link!

I designed a Cichlid Tank just like that when I was about 15 years old.... I like your rock work in that one makes me want to create another one....

yeap, they are simple Hamburg filters in the picture with the 3 stacked tanks, it may not look too good but i use the tanks for just breeding so i don't mind. All tree filters are driven by a air from a single Eheim 400 pump 4 watts so its very economical with electricity.
