Am still replanting the foreground, so not yet finished, but as it is so far

any reason you went from a 3ft tank to a 2.6ft tank ,
looks good so far , when it's done show us finished product can't wait,
one thing with me I can scape a saltwater tank with ease , but try to scape a freshwater tank I never can get it to look right , I just don't know lol

I wanted the 3ft to keep a different fish...it is 50gal. The 2.6ft is a 34gal tank and not big enough for what i want to keep.
Also the 3ft needed a good clean up, plant wise, so figured it was time.

What plants do you use and how hard is it to get it going?

Beautiful looking tank :)

55 gallon elephant nose tank.
30 gallon vampire shrimp, green lace shrimp and snails.

Neons/Cardinal/Ember/Black widow tetra, Dwarf gouramis, Dwarf loaches, Cherry shrimp and a few juvie BN

There are 2 of the dwarf gouramis in the photo, the 3rd is hiding in the plants

Updated photo
I pulled all the plants except the foreground and did a replant and major tidy up, the tank is slowly growing back in

your Gouramis don't fight? assuming you only have 2 of them in a 55 I guess that would be okay
