Canon powershot elph 100hs but I might go and purchase a new one depensing on how much better it would be any opinions in what I should get?

My parents bought it for me. But said I can take it back and get another one. Only thing is, what makes a camera good?

I didn't mean to be offensive. I just read it now and thought of some aggression is was more of a so... What?:s I really don't know much about cameras and quality would be a big thing I guess.
