so my girlfriend liked my interests in aquariums and asked me to set her up a small one in her room. I just happened to have someone offer me a complete 10 gallon settup, so i figured id set her up a small tank. I have a 24g nanocube that im about to set back up myself, Im a huge fan of saltwater. anyways, Here is what i came up with.
4 different African cichlids ( dont worry, they will be going to a bigger tank) a high fin pleco, a rubber mouth pleco, and a frog, haha. she seems to like it and i enjoy it myself.

comments welcomed. Like i said, this is just something i threw together, There are some real plants, as well as some fake.

Welcome to AA :) Looks nice :) Definitely need to get a bigger tank for those guys, looks like a bumblebee, red zebra, kenyi, and acei... correct? Looks like you'll have a good reason to set up a bigger tank (55g+) soon :) I do like the way you have the driftwood placed. A school of neons would look great in there ;)

Looks great. I'm afraid that her frog is eventually not going to like (a.k.a. be dead) being housed with Africans though.

yea, haha, I have bigger tank that they can go in later on, and then something smaller will go in there. after i set up the driftwood and plants, i kinda wanted some color in there for now, so thats where the cichlids came in. and yes, good job on naming them. you got um all

and they dont mess with the frog......yet..... i did have a corey cat that lasted a whole 17ish hours. it was like 3x the cichlids size but didnt matter

UPDATE!!!!!!!

so i got the new tank, 40g tank. the girl i bought it from sold it to me complete, even came with gold fish that i gave away. I got the tank, stand, good, filter, a bunch of new decorations, and so on. she gave me EVERYTHING, and i only paid $50. !! anyways, so i set it up and let it cycle and then moved the cichlids over to their new, bigger home, and they are much happier.
