On our little adventure last weekend we went to a really nice birding park with a creek next to it off of SR-20 in freeport, FL. A little bit of netting, a little running from water moccasins, and freaking out over leeches, and we found them.
Elassoma Gilberti, Gulf coast pygmy sunfish. These pics are when we first put them in the tank so they are not totally colored up yet. The males get nearly pitch black with all the blue highlights.
They barely get over an 1 1/4" long full grown so they are a great nano fish.
I'll definitely update once I get them into a photo tank
And some random photos of some of my guppy strains
thanks for looking.
