2 Lamp caudopunctatus' and 3 Altolamprologus calvus'. And best of all, they were 30% off!!! Hehe
 
not really. theyre territorial but not overly agressive. you can have them in a community tank as long as there are no other bottom dwellers. I think they probably do better in a species tank or a typical african cichlid tank, they prefer very hard water and high PH.
theyre also pretty pricey :D
 
Lovely fish! I adore them, and plan calvus for my 37gal.

Calvus are shy eaters and are carnivores, so if you have other fish that are omnivores (and snag anything meaty asap) the calvus will not get enough to eat. That is probably one of the biggest problems keeping these cool fish. I have to order mine online so I am really having to pinch some pennies before I can get them.
 
Yeah, I think theyre really cool! I know what your talking about in regards to calvus feeding. Theyre not very agressive eaters. My lamp caudopunctatus' are a little more brazen.
