anchor coral with our colt coral hogging the foreground.
That's not an anchor...it's an octobubble (Plerogyra flexuosa), one of my favorite LPS corals, yours is very nice also!! Love the pagoda, very cool color morph!! Love the zoos and the yellow polyps. Cool stuff all the way around

an octobubble?!? not the same thing as a "bubble coral" then? I have seen tons of those and it does not look like that.

the jawfish is doing great, hasnt missed a meal and the substrate is a mix of sand and coral and rubble.

Does he have a neat looking burrow? Did you read my post about the behavior when you add more than one?

I had just verbally described this coral to you guys after I got it...goes to show you should always post pictures whenever possible. I looked up the Plerogyra family and what I was calling a bubble coral is also known as a bladder coral, Plerogyra sinuosa , that was what I was thinking of when you said bubble.

Ya and to make it even worse ther is the Pearl buble Physogyra lichtensteini, the Octobubble will prefer less water movement than a hammer will and bright lighting.

He has not decided on one place of residence yet. I am looking forward to the neat behaviour, but to be honest, after reading posts where these guys are dieing off, I figured I would wait to see if he made it.
