Pond Inhabitants...Sorta

I've shown some pictures of my backyard fish barrel before. It's been warmer than usual and so everyone has been trying to cool off by the water.

I am not a bug person at all so this was a scary set of photos to take for myself.

Wow, those are amazing pics! How big was it? I don't think I've seen red dragonflies around here. I see mostly blue ones. It's not too often that I "catch" one sitting still for a picture. Good job!

I am no photographer. It's all default settings under the manual mode with the macro function used. I just got really close to this guy.
