IDK if it was already dead or Pleco attacked him
- @jmay 30 gallon is not big enough for common Pleco and future 55 g

It was already dead. Pleco just scavenging. They don't fight other fish usually.

Anyone's Pleco change colors? Mine has lighter "blotchy" patches. Just pigment not sick - happened today

Is your substrate light colored? My 55 has a BNP with some white PFS and she changes colors and is blotchy as you describe , it is just a defense thing they do to blend in.

Yes my gravel is light color. So the blotchy is a defense mechanism? Just never had those before? Stress .....
