He's in a 10 gallon with my male black mollie, female white mollie, and female orange swordtail and is doing great, no signs of aggression ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1395100500.046215.jpg

Man! My betta freaks out whenever I try to take a picture....I have a few I need to upload of him in his younger days. Mine is now an old man (about four and a half), and he's beginning to show his age...not more glamour shots for him :)

But I LOOOOVE bettas - I work at a fish store and recommend them left and right. So many parents buy a very small tank (5 gal or less) for their kid's room, and are disappointed they cant get a bala shark or leaf fish in there

I'm a master at talking up the betas...I tell them how hearty and old my fish is (many parents are nervous about loosing a fish and having to explain death to a child), how active and interested in me he is, and - the cherry on top - how his beautiful colors came out when I switched him to a good diet and gave him a good home.

I love my fish as an individual, but in general I LOVE bettas because I rarely have to take one as a return/exchange. Such an undemanding and beautiful fish!

I would love a betta. Once my 5 gallon fry tank is emptied (young platys, anyone?), I want to make it into a planted betta tank. Beautiful fish!

Lol, yes bettas are very unique fish and what I love most about them is that they're cheaper to keep.:)

That sounds like a great plan! Don't forget to post pictures on here to share your new betta tank.

Here's 4 of my five boys, all rescues.

Zorro, when I got him a month ago vs him a couple days ago.

Buckshot. I got him in March 19th. The big tear in his fin is almost knitted and his color is improving.

Went back for Silo the day after I got Buckshot. He's transformed a ton.

And Caliber, who I've had for a week. His color is fabulous and he's finally unclamped and feeling well.

And here's a random one of my community boy, Clarence.

Becoming my favorite fish

Here are a few of my Dragonscale male. Saved him from near death at a pet smart. His name is Poseidon.
