glmclell, The tank looks great, likeing the sword. Just an idea (don't want to tell you what to do with your aquarium) Have you thought about trimming the anachris? Just a suggestion, its all a matter of personal preference I guess. I prefer to trim it when it reaches the water line a droops over.

yes, I sometimes trim the anacharis down to about 1.5" from the bottom and then it'll fork and grow two (or more) new stalks from that stump

the few fry that I've managed to raise to adulthood are because of excessively long water weed (re: my comment about 3ft long sections)

the livebearers like to have nesting areas, and must perfer them near the surface ... i've recovered a bunch 'o fry from the weeds at least twice

Nice tank. Is that a bow front or just some kind of optical illusion? It looks like the front is bowing out like a bow front.
