They are watermelon mushrooms,

No, they are ricordeas. Pretty easy to grow and very nice! They i got this rock a month ago, it had a colony of green ricordeas and a bunch of purples, a colony of montipora, and a small group of pally zoas. The rock is 5lbs. All for 116$! Ricordeas go for about 30 for a head i think. But here i got like 15 heads lol

Love all the macros! I would like to try a kelp garden some time, wonder what it would take.

I don't use any co2 to keep any of the macro's
all I have is a HOB filter packed with cheato that is replaced every 3 weeks
to keep nitrates in check, I grow all my macro's in my feeder tank to keep costs down , since all the fish enjoy munching on the pod infested macro's
also use a modified sea clone skimmer the mods cost me a whopping 50 cents, and the skimmer works great ,
lots of circulation 1 1250 power head along with 1 900 power head and 1
250 power head , sounds like a lot of flow but if directed correctly it works out good , it's also why co2 isn't necessary
lighting is another beneficial factor I run the Chinese dimable leds
New Dimmable 120W Aquarium Coral Reef Fish Tank White Blue LED Light Black US | eBay
I will also enclose a guide on just about every macro you could imagine
just keep in mind some of these macro's are illegal to possess in certain states , so keep that in mind another thing to keep in mind a lot of these grow real fast and need constant attention and trimming
Marine Plants In The Aquarium: An online guide to the identification and care of marine plants and macroalgae in the aquarium.
I learned a ton of stuff from this guide (y)
