Depends on the tank size...
Males can get territorial and some are more feisty than others. Can be fine if you have space.

My 40 has 1 male BN (normal) and I'm downsizing my 30 so all those fish are going in there. That tank has 1 male BN (albino)

In a 40 you could have 2 smaller size plecos as long as there was lots of hiding spots :)

Hey you guys,

I am upgrading to a 20 long soon, and I love catfish. I will have 5 cory cats on the bottom, and could a Pictus fit in there too? I love Pictus, they are awesome. Would a Pictus bother the cories?

Pictus like to be in groups and get to be 6 inches each... Think it wouldn't work in the long run. Not sure of their behavior towards cories

You could do 2 with no cories and a small school of tetras though...
I think they have a heavy bioload and would need good filtration

I saw some cracking pictus in my lfs today and thought hmmmmm... Glad I didn't after reading about them a bit because they can be predacious towards smaller fish! These guys were already 4" so my glowlight tetras may have gone missing ?

My 5.5" Hoplo catfish. Picked him up as a rescue about two years ago. He is easily the most active fish in my tank.
