Here's my Fav. sw fish, my Rainford's Goby-

Oh I sm soo sorry! I didn't realize you had asked me a question before lol my bad:) I have heard of people keeping them in entirely fresh water, most say they won't do well long term in fresh water. I actually have Jeff in between in a freshwater dosed on the high end of therapeutic with aquarium salt, he's doing great and his tank mates don't seem to mind either. Just have to be careful cuz there are fish namely some cories and plecos that can't tolerate that much salt. My BNP is just fine though.

Do realize that freshwater treatment salt and marine salt (needed for brackish conditions) are completely different? Adding rock salt doesn't create brackish conditions.

Oops, wrong pics!

This is not creating any type of brackish conditions. Aquarium salt is not used for salinity changes. If I were you I would start another tank and begin your slow brackish acclimation with Jeff. But you must use MARINE salt.
I am no expert but I have done some research on brackish tanks as I hope to begin keeping some soon myself.
Oh also, begin decreasing all of that aquarium salt in Ur tank as its best for your Pleco.

Yah I've thought about doing that as well, but I don't think my plants would be very fond of the salt :(
