As previously stated, the only 100% way of sexing a live Angelfish is when they are spawning however, there are "tells" that help guessing be more accurate. Your fish appears to be a male based on the angle of the anal fin and what appears to be the beginning of the head hump. I want to emphasize again that this is only a guess but one based on years of breeding these fish. With today's domesticated strains, there are fish that show the opposite gender's traits. I once saw a beautiful Male Marble ( based on head hump and body shape) in a pet shop display tank and I approached the owner about buying it to go with my female marble. He informed me that he was looking for a male as well to go with HER because her mate recently died and she was laying hundreds of eggs almost every 7-10 days. So you see, there are no guarantees based on a picture.

Hope this helps

They are so beautiful and so many different unique markings. I have always wanted an all black one they are my favorite, but I've never even seen one for sale locally

I'm not sure of their sexes, I think they might still be too young to tell, but if anyone has any guesses I'd love to hear them!
