I just got my first flower on my water lilies. It's great. Toss some fish, some lilies, and feed the fish. They poop and the plants grow. Water changes are basically only when the water gets less clear, because the lilies suck up the bioload quite quickly. What I didn't know is that the flowers close up at night. You can see in the pictures below. They're in chronological order. The flower completely closes up by sunset.

The barrel is approximately 100 gallons from my measurements.

Very nice! So the same variety of lily can produce white and pink flowers?
