Some pics of my wolf..

I'm loving this wolf.. Unlike most I hear of this little guy is very active for a nocturnal fish.. anytime it see's me it swims to it's "feed me" spot. It's constantly moving around too.. he's awesome

Anyway.. pics time..

And his "feed me" spot. If I'm in the room or at my computer (right next to the tank) he will hover in this spot until he gets fed.. hovered there over an hour before

That's a pretty cool fish. Can you tell us "salties" about them?

Check the regional forum for Mid-atlantic, we are planning a trip to Md to check out LFS.

Sure.. although I'm unfamiliar with the term "Salties" so I'm assuming you just want some info on them?? lol. here ya go..

Scientific name Hoplias Malabaricus
Common name Wolf Fish

They are very very aggressive. They primarily need a species only tank as they kill for food and for fun

This little guy is currently 6" but they can reach lengths up to 2 feet long. I've got him (or her) in a species tank, a 50 gallon breeder (48x18x13).

I tried keeping it with a Convict but unfortunately the Convict didn't last the night.

Any other questions then feel free to ask.

Saltie=SW fish owner and in my case, know little about FW fish, other than the pl*co rumor/curse (a little jab a neilanh)! LOL! I used to own a house painting business and walked under plant of ladders and only rode 1 down the side of the house.

A beautiful fish - you got some really nice shots.

I can clearly see teeth in the first pic. I remember seeing a wolf fish in a small lfs a few years ago. They had a sign on the tank - "DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN TANK"!
