So the top is now warped? Do.you have a straight edge you can lay across the top to check?

Not that I know of. Could I just sand it to make it level?

Yah, id say that'd be the best bet at this point, you can put some rubber mat under the tank to ease out imperfections..

Does the tank count because I don't have a straight edge that's 6 ft lomg.

Here's the gap

Yah, you'd have to grind down the whole thing, I'd shim every square inch of it and call it done.

Well dang... i think I'll just sand it down.

Aww man, looks sweet!! I'm telling you. Where the gap is, get some good cedar shingles at home depot and the gorilla wood glue. Put some glue on the bottom and push the shims in that void, by hand, as tight as possible. or just add another sheet of 3/8" on top and use construction adhesive and shim shingles, set the tank on it and shim it and let it it cure for a day..

I took your suggestions on the shims under the plywood and realized half way in that that bottom of the tank bows on the long way portions on both sides of the trim so I'm going to have gaps no matter what I do. I called aqueon yesterday because I was trying to figure everything out and they said as long as the 4 corners touch I'm good. Does this seem right? I've got all 4 corners mated with the stand now. I've seen people put pink insulation under tanks would this work so I don't have a huge 5 ft gap in the middle on both sides?

The 4 corners thing sounds legit, i just cut up 2×2" squares of dense rubber, foam would work better for larger imperfections, and placed them under 4 corners with a piece in the middle front and back for a pice of mind.
