The tanks are made from plywood and liquid pond liner.
For the fronts and some other parts i did use laminate for floors.

2300 liters (600 U.S. gallons)
In October 2011 I started with the construction of the 2 aquariums, they are made of plywood and liquid pond liner.
Also all filter parts are self-made, in the same way as the aquarium.
The total capacity of the system is 5500 liters (1450 U.S. gallons).
The entire aquarium system is heated by a central heating exchanger.
All lights are equipped with LED lights.
In the filter portions will also be a buffer, given that it is used to preheat the water.
The weekly water change is done entirely by the coupling of the aquarium system to the reservoir of the toilet.
Auarium water is then used to flush toilets, fresh water is then refilled with tank system.
The filter portions will consist of a wet biologist, 2 dry filters, two sand filters, and a heat exchanger

The substructure for the aquariums consist Ytong blocks.
Between the fist layer of wood and the second one ,are reinforcement bars.

All wood joints are glued with waterproof PU glue and screwed
All walls are double, and between the layers of wood isolated.

I will paint the front of the aquarium later on.
The sides and back i finish of with laminate(just the normal one for the floor)
For all filter sections and parts i use also the pond liner.

The lid of the wet biologist is finished with laminate.
The filter sections are of a lesser quality wood.
The wet part of the biologist is about as wide as the aquarium.
This portion of the filter is also walkable.

I live in the Netherlands, and have glass on glass 2 different online stores purchased.
For all 2 stores I was very satisfied, the glass was exactly on the agreed day and time comes.
With these online stores had the glass also slightly cheaper than normal shops.
I can post the addresses do but I do not think you have much outside the Netherlands.
Moreover, I have most of the materials bought at online shops.
In the Netherlands, you have good internet store labels.
In this type of stores you can generally safe buy stuff.

I believe that the site also comes from Canada.
Also there are some people who are very helpful.
You could post here and there a topic, with the question, where you can order glass online.
The question to buy stuff online i read often on forums from Canada and the USA, for example on monsterfishkeepers.com.
I can also imagine that this is very different than in the Netherlands.
Netherlands is a small but densely populated country in such a country you will have to more online shops, then in a very large and wide country.

I do not know the percentages, but I believe that in the Netherlands online shops have a large share in the sale of goods.
We also have here different payments methods in this type stores, I believe that this is in the Vs and Canada is also different than here.
