How do you plan to get the air out of it for initial filling?

You can use an airtube to siphon the air out or you could use an Aqualifter pump and set it up that way. Either put a small elbow at the top or stick the airtube into the U tube.

Clear PVC Pipe and Fittings - Alsco Industrial Products

This is an online source for clear PVC pipes & fittings. You should be able to make your U-tubes form this. It will cost you!!

You might want to phone local plastic supplies places. We have a local plastic fabrication place that will also sell retail.

I just use an airtube. I did have an Aquabridge but it is badly designed and too large. Currently I am using a 1 1/4 inch siphon u-bend which is just the right shape but slightly too small for the fish to use. What I really need is a U-bend like a sipon u bend, but 2-3 inches in diameter.
