I did my sump with GE 1 and then had MrX post up that he didn't think it was safe, then did more research and couldn't find anything recent that it was safe so I re-did my sump with aquarium stuff... it was more expensive but I didn't want to risk anything... but I was building a reef tank and figured if I had 1k in live stock it wasn't worth risking an extra 15.00 for known good silicone...

I'll follow along so I'll know for the future

I read LOTS of articles and everyone says that GE1 is ok.

Guess well find out. I resealed the front corners with it.

Well, I'm not saying it is bad. I did find people saying they used it, and I have one local guy who even used GEII for his 125g reef tank and it has been up and running for 9 months without a problem so you are most likely good to go.

Oh man,you got that huge reef ready tank with sump,you just gotta get or build a stand to put the sump in and go Reef to start with.I'm jealous.LOL

Wow Huge Tank!!! and I really thought that the new 80 Gallon Tank Im getting tonight was a huge tank.
