Hello, i have a 60 gallon freshwater aquarium i am wanting to add some live plants into. I understand the idea of diy co2 mixtures but need to know something i havent ran across yet.
I have access to free 3 gallon stainless steel water fire extenguishers that are we are no longer able to use.
I have seen the mixture of 2 cups sugar + 1/2 tsp bicarbonate soda and 1/3 tsp brewers yeast iinto a 1 liter bottle. would mixing up a 2 gallon mixture be a good idea?? that would be 7.5 times as much. (2 gallons = 7.5 litres)
Also if i use this diy setup do i need to switch it off during dark times like a pressurized system??
I have everything else for the system just have to make the co2 factory.
Also i read somewhere that using a co2 device and air bubbler at the same time is a losing deal. right, wrong??? should i do away with the air?? or run it at night when co2 is off??
