5 gallon wet dry project ?

Im in the middle of making a wet dry sump filter out of a 5 gallon tank. Its going under a retro 15 gallon steel and glass aquarium with slate bottom. anyway i know the filter is enough I was just wondering how large a tank do you think a 5 gallon support?

No thoughts? I was thinking with 2 overflows and my rio 1400 it could handle a 55?

In my opinion I wouldn't spent money or time in a wet/dry if the tank is small

Tank is 15 gallon. and the project is just for fun I wanted a small system just to "play" with. As far as money I have only 12 dollars for 100 bio balls tied up into it. everything was scavenged.
