Finally got my got my paintable mixture ratio worked out. Applied my final coat to the backboard, I am really surprised how much weight that stuff adds. I had some extra left over so I painted one of the rocks.

I'm glad you are trimming them back. Cool build. Can't wait to see it in.

Got the first row of rocks on and painted and the 2nd coat is currently drying. Ive decided that I am going to put one coat on before gluing them on because its a pain to reach certain parts. I also went and picked up Touch N' Foam landscape to attach the rocks since its fish safe and if i don't get it completely covered its not a big deal. Ill post pictures later.

It's turning out really good man. Was it easy enough to paint?

Yea its pretty easy once you get your ratios down. Thing that drives me nuts is making sure every little nook and cranny is covered you spend like 10 mins on one piece and you think its perfect and come back and there's a huge spot you missed.

But it keeps me entertained so I cant really complain.

I was originally going to do and Mbuna tank but I am now leaning more towards a Tanganyika community tank.

Here's the list I am thinking about:

Open Water:
Cyprichromis leptosoma Bulu Point x12

Rocks & Caves:
Chalinochromis sp. ''Ndobhoi'' x 4
Eretmodus cyanostictus Chaitika 'Blue Dot' x4
Julidochromis ornatus Congo ''Yellow'' x4

Shells:
Lamprologus ocellatus ''Gold'' x6
Lamprologus brevis Katabe ''Orange Head" x6

Open Sand:
Xenotilapia singularis Ndole Bay ''Ochrogenys Ndole''x 8

Questions, comments concerns?
