A Cool Device for Plants

I have a melon sword that was wonderful when I got it, but over 3 months, it spread out so the leaves go out horizontally and cover half of the tank bottom so nothing else can grow.

I came up with a way to train the plant. I took a large round clear plastic peanut butter jar and cut off the top and bottom. Then I placed it over the plant with the leaves going up through the tube. Now they are being trained in the direction I want them to grow and it doesn't even look bad in the tank while they are being trained.

Hopefully, once the jar is removed, it wont go back to it's horizontal ways.

I'm sure it will, but if it takes 3 months I might not mind too much. I'll probably want to change the layout by then anyway.
