Awesome Planta! When you get it figured out, please draw up a homemade blueprint and share in the DIY section. Looking forward to seeing it finished. OS.

Gluing took a bit longer than expected, and my inability to make a straight cut with a jig saw also hindered progress a bit! But, overall I'm pretty happy with the final product here. Also, the dowel rod I chose was a bit big and when painted won't fit a tube around it so they will hold the cap while the tube dries upright in the front... Thanks for the pointers and inspiration on this!Click image for larger version

Any Carpenters in AA?

Id be curious to see what someone with more woodworking background(access to tools also!) then my high school Woodshop class could do!! Thinking I might need to start researching patent laws! If only there was an attorney handy, cough...Hawkins..cough! Lol!

I don't know man.. With all my resources and skills I don't think id do it any different from yours! Maybe use some fancy wood cutoffs instead Brazilian cherry API racks?? Has a nice ring.. $59.95 shipped! No patents yet ahhhhahaha(evil laugh)

I don't think you could put patents on that. All it would take is a slight change to the design and it would be rendered useless.
It looks good but i definitely would do a card slot/holder so you didn't have to tape them to the wall.
Mine would be in African Mahogany (mostly because i have some laying around) with an oil finish and clear laquer on top. I'pe would look nice too.

Very nice design! I was thinking about trying something like this for the longest time but never actually got around to planning it. Looks like you did all the difficult work for me
