any way to remove paint on aquarium?

I have a 45 gallon saltwater set up. It has brown paint on the back for a background. Its ugly! Can i use a solvent to remove it? Is there anything thats safe? (it wont scrape off)

Glass tank? Use a razor blade, should come off pretty easily.

I think you can use a solvent if the aquarium is made of glass. Please be noted that you should turn off the air pump until the job would be finished and when there is no smell of solvent, you may turn the air pump on.

if the aquarium is made of Plexiglas, you could not use solvent with Ether or Chloroform base.

Rubbing alcohol also works with a razor blade
