I have a 45 gallon saltwater set up. It has brown paint on the back for a background. Its ugly! Can i use a solvent to remove it? Is there anything thats safe? (it wont scrape off)

I think you can use a solvent if the aquarium is made of glass. Please be noted that you should turn off the air pump until the job would be finished and when there is no smell of solvent, you may turn the air pump on.

if the aquarium is made of Plexiglas, you could not use solvent with Ether or Chloroform base.

i used windex and this:

worked perfectly

so i should find a giant razor blade? Will this scratch up the glass at all?

it doesnt have to be a giant one, just a flat clean razor blade and u can probably get away with using some goo gone
