anyway, here's my latest brain child.
Take a gander at the attached pic, return pump from the lower sump tank output to the output of the closed loop pump. Yes the output, as shown in the diagram. The basic venturi principle should "assist" the lower pump by drawing the water volume from the lower pump into the flow from the upper pump.
1) Would the diameter of the plumbing need to change at the point the two systems join?
2) If the pumps were different sizes (which they are in my system) should the larger pump be the upper pump (therefore supplying the weaker pump with more assistance) or should the larger pump be the lower pump (therefore needing less assistance)?
3) am I insane or does this have a chance of working?
