I was wondering if anyone had experience with creating their own background picture in photoshop/gimp/etc. and printed it out for their aquarium. I've been considering this as an alternative to buying a X by Y size cut from the petstore, plus the background I want doesn't come in the needed size. I have access to a decent size plotter than can easily accept 24" glossy paper. Does anyone know how a "Home Print" might compare to a professional, "Official" background? I would expect if I ever used a picture taken from a camera, all the noise/grain would be very noticeable, but a vector based image wouldn't have that problem and the print quality would come down to the printer.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
