Need to build a sump for my new 110, i happen to have an old 55 gallon to use. Does anyone have a link for building sumps? Or experience they can share for me? Thanks in advance.

A refugium is always a good idea. I have one that is a 40 gallon with three sections.

Im a little intimidated to build a sump, i need to save the money but i have a feeling this might not work. Do you a picture of your sump i can see and get an idea?

Sumps are farily easy... I was stressed over mine too. Mine certainly didn't turn out as nice looking as I had hoped, but it's functional. Mine is a 20 long under a 40 breeder -

Left to right... Return area, refugium, bubble trap (should have put it after refugium and before return area), skimmer/intake area-

For another reference, here's a pre-made sump that I got on a trade-

I have a pre- made sump but im selling it with my 90 tomorrow. Maybe i should take some ideas from there as well. I hope i dont crack the tank, thats my worry along with having it actually work.

Ive decided against building a sump, im just going to buy a eschopps sump from Dr. Foster and Smith. That way i know it works and i wont freak out about it falling apart as much.
