Canister with heater module

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is a right place to shoot, but I'm gonna shoot the question anyway
Is there a Canister Filter that have some sort of built-in heater, or module so the heater doesn't have to be inside the tank, taking up space? I see that Tetra got their HOB filter with heating module! I'm looking for this as DYI an Sump or such for a 15gals tank is little too much work for me
Thanks?

hmmm I don't think I've heard of anything quite like what you're describing. is this going to be a FW or SW 15 gallon tank? If it's SW you may want to reconsider a sump. If this is FW, you may be able to find a heater small enough to simply place in a HOB, but your HOB should be big enough so that the heater is not touching any of the side of the filter or any of the media.

billyz is right on there with his idea

they sell canister filters with built in heaters but they're all way too powerfull for a 15 gallon tank

building a heater into a canister filter would be difficult if not impossible without modern manufactoring equipment (hurray injection molding!)

if you have an hob filter already, just get a small submersible heater and hide it next to the intake tube for the filter

Eheim makes them. The tetra tec PF series filters work well with a heater but are huge and loud.

I'm looking for this for a 15gals SW tank, and I figured with all the tube/heater inside the tank just make it doen't look good and mess up the inside Is there any where I can find idea for building a small sump for this? Since the stand I make for this tank is small,
Thanks

You may want to look at the CPR hang on refugium. They would give you a place to put your heater and grow macro algae. I can special order this for you if you need one.

for a sump or refuge, you can use any 5-10 gal fish tank to hold your equipment.
