canopy

i was thinking of maken a canopy but for the lights taking of the
light bulb holder from a hoood and mounting it ontop of the canopy with a hole throught the wood.
would this work?

what would you use as a reflector? you would still need to wire the lights to the ballast some were? Most designs ive seen wire them into the canopy.. if you mount your lights directly to the wood your not going to get very much reflection or ventilation.. try looking at some designs..

I had a friend do this a couple of years ago. He polished a piece of Stainless Steel for the reflector. It's still working good.
