Center support cracked

I recently got a 125 gallon AGA tank. Once I got it home I noticed that one of the 2 center supports was cracked in half and when filled with water the support pulled apart as the glass bowed. I bought a piece of lexan to attach to it but don't know what to attach it with ie. epoxy, screws, silicone, etc. Any ideas?

You may want to just buy a whole new trim piece with brace. Go to glasscages.com, or you can try your lfs. I just bought a 55g for $25 with no center brace on the top. Did not risk filling up with water cause I did not want mine to bow, but lfs had one in stock for $19 + tax.
