Cleaning up an acrylic tank with a torch?

Has anyone done it? If so how did it go? Any ideas other than sanding.

Edges are flamed but something unless you are sure in your ability should be avoided (unless the tank can be trashed). Scratches in the panes better taken care of with sanding.
