Are you running open top, or is there glass on the bottom side?

Do you have any experience designing DC circuts?

Any old DC transformer of the right voltage will work for power. I have a small pile in the attic that used to belong to phones, radios, etc. You know, the big squarre box that plugs in to the wall, and has a slender cord and a round end that goes into a device? The voltage needed should be stamped on the fan. If you can't find one of the right voltage, a lower voltage one will just run the fan slow, a higher voltage one can be wired with some resisters in series with the fan. Radio Shack will have transformers if you can't find one you're not using.
