I'm new to the site and thought i'd post some pictures of what i have been working on.

260ish Litres
54" x 26" x 12"
APS external filter
Hydor 300 external heater
custom hood with 2x 42" lights
CO2 injection

Thinking of stocking Columbian tetra's or maybe some silver dollars... if my wife has her way it'd be 50 neon tetras.

any tips or ideas are greatly appreciated.

Wow, looks amazing! my husband and I are thinking of doing something similar. Is the tank standard or custom? is that a standard wall or did you build into it for support? we are just in the idea and research phase of the plan so I have more questions than answers.

Very nice I love in walls :) I have one myself I think this is the only picture I have that I didn't crop the wall out. I wish I had a spot to make it visible from both sides.

The wall was originally the outside front so it's sat on the main foundations and 12" thick so there wasn't any issues with weight... I designed the tank to fit to one side to get it central with the wall and to leave room for the filter etc down one side. i had to stud the bottom with 3x2 to raise the tank to a higher level, and then lined it with 12mm Corian so the heat and moisture won't effect any of the wood, the tank was then made to fit. £240 delivered
