DIY 10 gallon rimless

I have a 10 gallon aquarium that has the ugly black rim around the top. I have heard stories and saw a video on removing it but would that mess with the integrity of the tank? It is currently in the middle of a dry start for a iwagumi tank. Should i do it?

Its up to you whether you want to do it or not just be careful not to damage the tank if you do it good luck

On a ten gallon it should be fine to do. Larger tanks need the bracing. I want to remove the one on my ten also just haven't got myself to do it. The tank and everything should be fine without it.
