I went ahead today and built the sump/fuge out of a 30 long. she aint pretty but it should work fine.
I took the measurements off my reef devil sump and made them work for this tank. I went with the fuge/Skimmer and Pump layout. Its what will work best for me with the limited space under the stand and very small doors on the stand.
I cleaned all the surfaces well with rubbing alcohol so I would get a good bond and I used the all glass silicone.
I added some gussets to the walls for support and they sure did there job, no wiggle at all after adding them.
I added a media tray for carbon or a filter pad.
After looking at the pictures I may have to move 2 of the gussets on the fuge wall. They way there set up I may get a noise from the water rolling over them.. Well see on Monday when I test it out.

This is after I had started and just added the third divider

Good use of a spare tank, that's for dang sure... I am gonna watch this one as I am planning one just like it. What's the diameter of your overflow opening out of the main tank?
